Designed for The Woods at Sasan Resort in Gir, this bespoke lighting installation pairs handcrafted bamboo with precision-machined brass. A central brass sphere anchors a radiating arrangement of bamboo poles, each terminating in a perforated light source that diffuses light through the open ends of the culms.
Originally developed as a lighting object, the design was adapted for the resort as a large-scale installation. Its proportions and suspension were reworked for the space, allowing the piece to occupy the volume without dominating it.
The installation continues Rhizome's interest in reducing a design to a few carefully resolved elements, allowing material, proportion, and construction to define the work.
